When my harengon Wizard reached 4th-level I decided to select the feat Fey Touched. You get misty step, but you also get to choose a 1st-level spell from the divination or enchantment school of magic. Not knowing what spells are included in those schools it took a bit of research to find what was available. I then decided to create a spreadsheet with all of the known spells in Dungeons & Dragons. It then occurred to me that it might be useful to write articles that include the list of spells and sometimes even tier-rank them. Thus the What Spell Should You Choose? series was born.
